The PS036E is a replacement cable eyelet for the PIERCE PS9000 and PS12000 planetary recovery winches. The eyelet secures the cable end at the drum — used when installing a new wire rope or replacing a worn eyelet.
Do I need a new eyelet every time I replace the cable?
Not always. Inspect the existing eyelet before reusing — replace if it's bent, cracked, or worn at the cable-clamp area. At $3, the eyelet is cheap insurance against a cable that slips off the drum mid-pull. Keep spares with the cable.
