Bucher Power-Up / Gravity-Down HPU | 6 qt Poly

The Bucher PM-319-6P Power-Up / Gravity-Down HPU is a 12V single-acting hydraulic power unit with a 6-quart polyethylene reservoir. It powers the cylinder up under load, then lets gravity bring it back down — the simplest, most cost-effective HPU when the load lowers itself, like dump kits and small lifts.

What's the difference between power-up / gravity-down and 2-way HPUs?

A power-up / gravity-down HPU only pushes oil one direction — into the cylinder to extend it. The cylinder retracts when gravity (and the load's own weight) drains the oil back. A 2-way HPU pushes oil both directions, so it can retract a cylinder under load. Power-up / gravity-down is cheaper and simpler when gravity will do the return stroke.
