The Bucher 12V Pump Solenoid (Style 2) is the replacement solenoid for newer Bucher hydraulic pumps — identifiable by the black plastic cover. It's the most common service item on a Bucher HPU; if the pump won't run when you hit the switch and the battery is good, the solenoid is the next thing to check.
Style 1 or Style 2 — which Bucher solenoid do I need?
Look at the cover. Style 1 has a bare metal can on top of the solenoid. Style 2 has a black plastic cover, used on Bucher pumps from the past several years. Match the cover and you have the right part — they are not interchangeable.
