Bucher 10V Coil | Hydraulic Pump Valve

The Bucher 10V Coil is the replacement coil that sits on the directional valve on Bucher hydraulic pumps. The 10-volt rating is intentional, not a typo — Bucher specs the coil to keep operating when the truck's electrical system sags below 12V under load, which is exactly when the pump is working hardest.

Why is the coil rated 10V on a 12V pump?

When the pump motor pulls 100+ amps under load, system voltage at the coil can drop into the 10–11V range — especially in cold weather or with a tired battery. A 12V-only coil might drop out at exactly the moment the cylinder is mid-stroke. The 10V rating gives you margin so the valve stays open while the pump is doing real work.
