12V Hydraulic Pump Solenoid | Style 1

The 12V Hydraulic Pump Solenoid (Style 1) is a replacement solenoid for older hydraulic pumps from MTE, Fenner, Monarch, and Bucher. If your pump won't engage when you hit the switch, the solenoid is the most common failure point and the easiest fix — a 5-minute swap with two cables and four bolts.

How do I tell if my hydraulic pump's solenoid is bad?

Hit the switch and listen. If the motor doesn't even click — no buzz, no movement — and the battery and switch test good, the solenoid contacts are usually welded shut or pitted open. A multimeter across the small terminals while the switch is pressed will confirm: 12V there, no engagement of the big terminals, replace.
