The PSW577K converts a PIERCE 12V electric PSW654-series industrial worm gear winch to hydraulic operation — useful when the install location moves from a 12V truck to a tractor or hydraulic-equipped service vehicle. When does the electric-to-hydraulic conversion make sense?
Three cases. You're moving the winch from a truck to a tractor that already has hydraulics. You need continuous-duty operation that exceeds the 12V motor's intermittent rating. Or you've moved to a vehicle with a beefier hydraulic system (bale spear, dump kit, log splitter shared pump) and want the winch to share the same supply.
