Item Already in Cart
This item is already in your cart with a different configuration. Would you like to replace it or add a new one?
The PSHDH20000M is the entry point into the Pierce PSHDH heavy-duty hydraulic recovery line — 20,000 lb pulling capacity from a 9.5 in³ motor at 2,175 PSI, paired with a long drum for extended rope reach and a manual output-shaft clutch. No air supply required.
When should I pick the manual clutch over the air-spool version?
Pick manual if your truck doesn't have an air supply, or if you want one fewer system to maintain. The trade-off is operator workflow: manual means stepping out and disengaging the clutch lever by hand to free-spool cable, where air-spool engages from a cab switch. For wreckers without onboard air, manual is the right answer.
- 20,000 lb rated pulling capacity
- Hydraulic, 9.5 in³ in/rev motor
- 2,175 PSI operational pressure, 15.9 GPM max oil flow
- 2-stage planetary gear, 30:1 ratio
- 23 fpm max line speed
- Output-shaft disengaged clutch — manual lever, no air system needed
- Long drum for extended cable reach
- Multidisc brake
- Aluminum die-cast housings with steel drum
- Pierce SKU PSHDH20000M — typically in stock, fast turnaround
For the air-spool clutch with narrow drum (compact mount), see the 20,000 lb Hydraulic Recovery Winch (Narrow Drum, Air). For the same motor in the simpler PSHV frame, see the 18,000 lb Hydraulic Recovery Winch. Stepping up to 30,000 lb with the same long drum + manual config: 30,000 lb Hydraulic Recovery Winch (Long Drum, Manual).
