The Bale Spear Collar is the replacement collar that holds the forged tine on a Pierce gooseneck bale spear. It bolts to the spear frame and locks the tine with a single pin. Replace yours when the collar is worn, damaged, or out of round.
Do I need a new collar when I replace the tine?
Not always. The tine wears faster than the collar, so most owners replace tines several times before the collar needs attention. But if the collar shows cracks, ovaling, or excessive play around the pin, replace it — a loose collar can drop a loaded tine.
