The Bucher 4W/2P Valve (P00455D) is the directional cartridge for the Bucher PM-3554 and the long-valve version of the PM-3551. It restores smooth power-up / power-down control on a 2-way pump that's lost crisp directional response — a common before-rebuild service part.
How do I know if I need the 4W/2P valve replacement?
Cylinder extends and retracts but the response feels sluggish or sticky. Cylinder doesn't fully reach pressure on extension or retraction. Audible chatter or buzz from the valve manifold under load. Any of those means the cartridge spool is sticking or wearing — replace before it strands you.
