The PS038E is a replacement cable eyelet for the PIERCE PS20000 planetary recovery winch. The eyelet secures the cable end at the drum on the larger 20K winch — sized for the 1/2 in wire rope, not interchangeable with the smaller PS036E (for 3/8 in cable on PS9000/PS12000).
Why a different eyelet for the PS20000?
Different cable size, different drum geometry. The PS20000 uses 1/2 in wire rope and has a larger drum and groove pattern than the PS9000/PS12000. The PS036E eyelet is sized for 3/8 in cable and won't seat correctly on the larger drum. Match the eyelet to the winch model.
