The Bucher PM-3530-3ST 6-Way Hydraulic Power Unit runs three independent double-acting circuits from a single 12V HPU — six functions total. Built for wrecker rigs that need up/down, in/out, and open/close on a retractable wheel lift, all from one pump and one 2-gallon poly reservoir.

What kind of wrecker setup needs a 6-way HPU?

Any wrecker with a retractable wheel-lift system. The boom uses one circuit, the wheel-lift extension uses another, and the wheel-lift clamping cylinders use the third. Trying to run that off a 4-way leaves the clamping circuit unpowered — which is exactly when you don't want a wheel to drop.
