The PSHDH30000ND is the narrow-drum, air-clutch version of the 30,000 lb PSHDH — same 9.5 in³ motor and 41:1 gear ratio as the long-drum sibling, in a tighter mounting footprint. Built for wreckers and service trucks where 30K pulling power is needed but mounting space is tight.
How much rope does the narrow drum hold vs. the long drum?
The narrow drum holds 141 ft of ⅝ in wire rope; the long drum holds 250 ft. That's the trade-off. If your typical recovery is short-distance (vehicle off the road, equipment on/off a flatbed), 141 ft is plenty. If you're pulling at distance — long-line recovery, off-road jobs where you can't get close to the load — pick the long drum.
