The Receiver Hitch Winch Mount is a portable mounting platform for the Pierce electric planetary recovery winch line — predrilled to fit the PS6000, PS9000, PS12000, and PS20000. Slide it into any 2 in × 2 in Class III or Class IV receiver hitch and turn any vehicle with a hitch into a recovery rig in minutes.

When does a receiver hitch mount make more sense than a permanent winch frame?

Three cases. You don't want to dedicate a single vehicle to the winch — pull the mount out when you're done, leaving the truck or trailer ready for other jobs. You move the same winch between multiple vehicles. Or you don't want to drill or weld a permanent winch frame onto a truck and would rather use the existing receiver hitch.
