The Drop Hinge is a direct-fit accessory for the Gooseneck Truck Bed Bale Spear. It adds a hinge point to the spear frame so the tine can drop down to ground level, making it easier to spear flat-stacked bales or bales sitting on the dirt. Bolts on with the existing hardware — no welding required.

What does a drop hinge do for a bale spear?

Without a drop hinge, the spear tine sits at a fixed angle dictated by the truck bed. That works for bales stacked on a trailer but is awkward for bales lying flat in a pasture. The drop hinge lets the tine pivot down to ground level so you can drive in straight, lift, and go.
