A Lodar air actuator is a pneumatic cylinder used in wireless or remote control systems to convert an air signal into linear motion. It’s typically used to operate a control rod or lever (e.g. for valves, switches, linkages) without manual intervention.
In setups with a control rod, the actuator is mounted adjacent to or above the rod such that its push/pull motion aligns with the rod’s direction of travel. The actuator’s output end is linked to the rod (often via a clevis or bracket) to impart motion.
