When do I need angle mounts vs. the standard winch mount?
Use angle mounts when you're flush-mounting the winch to a flat plate or shop frame and need a clean factory-finish install. The standard PBM1 mount is for upright vehicle and trailer mounts where the winch needs to stand off from the mounting surface. Angle mounts let the winch sit close to the mounting plate — useful for shop floors, low-profile trailer mounts, and dock installations.
