Safety Cutoff Switch | Master Battery Disconnect

The PS025 Safety Cutoff Switch is a heavy-duty lever-operated master battery disconnect for PIERCE winches and other high-draw 12V/24V equipment. Isolates the battery circuit instantly — protects against stuck solenoids, short circuits, accidental activation, and parasitic drain. SPST single-pole construction, 180 amp continuous, 1,000 amp surge.

Why install a battery disconnect on a winch?

Three reasons. Stuck solenoids can run a winch motor continuously until the battery dies or wires melt — a disconnect kills it immediately. Accidental switch activation while parked won't drain the battery if the master is off. And winch wiring with a permanent battery feed slowly bleeds the battery via the solenoid — the disconnect breaks that drain when the truck sits.
