The PCOOL-LATCH-17L is the long (V2) rubber T-latch for PIERCE roto-molded coolers — a longer version of the V2 latch that gives a firmer pull on the lid.
When would I use the long latch?
When you want more tension holding the lid down. It is the longer of the two V2 latches and anchors to the same latch bolt.

Great product
The Pierce 45 Qt Cooler is the best one I ha e ever owned. I have had mine for 4 years, it basically spends from May to October every year on the back of a flatbed truck. It has taken a lot of abuse from rough roads, t posts, and barbed wire. All I have ever had to do is to change out the rubber latches every year and they are cheap and can be replaced in less than 5 minutes.
