Cable Tensioner | PS654 Worm Gear Winches | 8 in Drum

The PSCT8 is a spring-loaded wire rope tensioner for PIERCE PS654 series worm gear winches with 8 in drum widths. Prolongs cable life by reducing kinks and flat spots, and provides constant tension against the drum to eliminate backlash and bird-nesting.

When should I add a cable tensioner?

Any time you've experienced bird-nesting, wraps slipping off the drum during free-spool, or rope wear from rubbing against itself. The tensioner is cheap insurance against rope damage and stuck winches — and dramatically extends the working life of expensive wire rope.
